GENEVA PHARMA NETWORK HOSTS JOB FAIR AT CAMPUS BIOTECH   

 

Geneva’s “Campus Biotech” provided the unique setting for the job fair hosted by the Geneva Pharma Network on 23 April 2015, which gathered 250 participants from across Suisse Romande, neighboring France and beyond. 

Professionals with expertise in Discovery, Clinical Development, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Bioinformatics, Legal and Marketing attended the event. PhD students and postdoctoral researchers in the life sciences also took part.

“ The Geneva Pharma Network Job Fair was an excellent event for those of us looking for career opportunities in the Suisse Romande”. It was an ideal platform to meet with company HR and network with my peers from the life science sector.” – Brigitte H.

Representatives from Axepta Life Sciences, Barrington James, BioAlps, Celgene International, Human Brain Project, Incyte, Labatec Pharma, Kelly Services, Michael Page, Quotient Bioresearch, Randstad Professionals and RSA Group came to the Fair to promote their organizations and recruit from the vast pool of talent that was present on this occasion.

Subsequent to a few words of welcome, Catherine Bates, co-founder of the association, introduced the job fair team namely, GPN members, Simone Schmidlkofer, Cédric Boudou and Geneva Pharma Network President, Arthur Roach.  Ms. Bates then gave an overview of the Geneva Pharma Network.

This was followed by four sponsor presentations:

• Stéphane Leroy and Nick Smatlan, Talent Sourcing & Recruiting, Celgene International
• François Martin, Managing Director for Switzerland, RSA Group

The Job Fair opened in earnest after the presentations.  Job seekers engaged with exhibitors and met each other in what was a thoroughly productive and enjoyable evening of networking.
